Commission and Fam Trips

Travel Agent Commissions
The World Outdoors standard commission is 10% when you book four clients or less. As an incentive to travel agents, your Commission Rate is based on the number of clients your agency has booked with The World Outdoors in the calendar year. Please note that your commission is based on the trip price only. No commission is earned for single room supplements, equipment rentals or transfer services.

Our Commission Rate structure is as follows:

• 1-4 clients = 10%
• 5-9 clients = 12.5%
• 10-19 clients = 15%
• 20-29 clients = 17.5%
• 30+ clients = 20%
  

Trip Payments
We recommend that final trip payments be made by an agency check. This will allow you to deduct your commission directly from the balance due and receive your commission before your client departs. If you choose to pay by credit card, your commission will be paid to you by check promptly upon completion of the trip. The World Outdoors will pay commission on any cancellation fee over $100 that is charged to your clients.

Client Referral Information and Rates
If you've already done your best to accommodate a client but just can't get them to register, then have them call us directly. We'll do our best to find a trip that best fits your client's needs and abilities. If we successfully book your client, then we'll send you the commission.

Travel Agent Fam Discounts
We encourage you to experience the Magic of The World Outdoors by joining any one of our tours. This is the best way to learn about our unique style of travel. All travel agents who have an official IATAN card qualify for a Fam Discount. Please call us for details regarding any specific trip

We will confirm your discount 30 days prior to departure based on space availability. Please note that we do not offer companion discounts, but your agency will receive a 10% commission for registering an additional client(s) when an agent joins a World Outside Fam Tour.

Subsequently, you must sell a minimum of five trips to qualify for a Fam Discount again. In addition, you will be required to complete and submit a post fam Trip Evaluation.

Taking over an Existing Reservation
The World Outdoors will not allow you to take over an existing reservation. However, we do accept both letters and telephone calls from clients authorizing a takeover of a tentative reservation.
