The natural beauty of New mexico caught me off guard. The trip was well timed for the fall colors and the itinerary showed off the area well. The guides and my traveling companions made the trip very enjoyable. The trip was very active, but on most days it was not overly demanding.

In the southern most reaches of the Rocky mountains, there is an often times, over-looked gem … New Mexico. From sagebrush flats to snow capped peaks you'll find adventure, beauty and serenity. Southwest cuisine, art galore, and a rich cultural history complement the diverse ecosystems found on this trip.

We've been told by many of our past guests that they begin with high expectations as a result of their positive experiences on previous trips with us and that we still inevitably meet or exceed those expectations. That's why you'll often see Fully Met Expectations reviews that are filled with comments more befitting of a higher rating.

Kiva fireplaces, wooden tongue and groove ceilings, saltillo tile floors and wooden vigas all add to its warmth and rustic charm. Casa Benavides B&B, featuring adobe construction with viga ceilings, wood burning fireplaces, and extensive colorful gardens, is located just two blocks from the historic Taos Plaza.
