Belize-Caribbean
Multi-Sport

Hike, Canoe, Cave Tour/Tubing, and Snorkel from Jungle to Sea

Experience Belize's wild jungle and the turquoise waters of the barrier reef. With local guides, explore the jungle on foot and delight in a stunning variety of wildlife. Mountain bike quiet dirt trails, canoe the gentle Mopan River and snorkel crystal-clear Caribbean waters.

Day 1 Pook's Hill Jungle Lodge. From Belize City we shuttle to Pook's Hill, a jungle eco-retreat set amidst a lush landscape. This evening enjoy a hike as a friendly welcome to this beautiful tropical jungle.

Days 2-3 Actun Tunichil Macnal-Xunantunich-Mopal River. Ready for action? Explore the most famous cave in Belize--Actun Tunichil Macnal--complete with ancient Maya pottery, stalactites and stalagmites. The next day we explore the ancient Mayan ruins of Xunantunich, climbing to the top of the pyramid, El Castillo, for a grand view of the surrounding jungle. Then it's on to the Mopal River for a canoe trip where a few fun waves and class II rapids await.

Day 4 Jaguar Paw River Cave. Enter a realm where rivers disappear into the underworld as you float on inner tubes with only your headlamp to lead the way. Glide past mica-studded stalactites and stalagmites, thousand-year-old pottery shards, and statues of fertility gods. Then fly over to Ambergris Caye and transfer to Journey's End Resort, the perfect island paradise escape set on 50 acres.

Days 5-7 Belize Barrier Reef-Ambergris Caye. Snorkel or scuba dive in the turquoise waters of Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley. Take a day to relax and unwind in your Caribbean paradise at Journey's End or enjoy kayaking through mangroves or optional bonefishing before flying back to Belize City to connect with flights home.
