Canyonlands-Arches
Multi-Sport

Hike, Bike, Kayak, Rock Climb and Experience Canyoneering

Prepare for the ultimate adventure getaway of non-stop excitement. Set in the heart of southeast Utah's dramatic Canyon Country, this multi-sport adventure will introduce you to rock climbing, inflatable kayaking, canyoneering, mountain biking, and hiking. No prior experience necessary--just an appetite for new adventures! Our guides' relaxed and supportive approach to learning assures a fun and exhilarating week.

Day 1 Moab. We begin our journey on mountain bikes into the heart of Canyon Country on the Monitor and Merrimac trail, looping around several buttes and monoliths, with views into Arches National Park and Seven-Mile Canyon.

Day 2 Canyonlands. Deep into the outback of Canyonlands National Park, we follow a footpath past soaring monuments and spectacular amphitheaters full of colorful pinnacles. Looking for some more adventure? The Joint Trail follows a stretch of connecting deep, narrow crevices--some only two to three feet wide within a massive rock expanse.

Day 3 Medieval Canyon. Experience a day of introductory canyoneering in Medieval Canyon under the care of exceptional instructors. Next we rappel off Morning Glory Arch, the world's fourth largest. This is one of the most spectacular settings for rappelling to be found anywhere!

Day 4 Colorado River-Fisher Towers. Jump into inflatable kayaks or rafts for a frolic on the Colorado River and hike to soaring Fisher Towers, the setting for several western movies.

Day 5 Moab. Strap on a climbing harness for an introduction to the sport of rock climbing. Learn the fundamentals in the morning--equipment, terminology, and belaying--and then progress to several basic climbs.

Day 6 Arches. Explore slickrock grottoes and narrow slot canyons in the mysterious Fiery Furnace and then switch to mountain bikes for some fun slickrock riding on the way to Tower Arch.

Camping Highlights: The crackling campfire, the desert silence, and the glow of the sunrise on canyon walls are all part of the allure of camping in the Utah outback. Our backcountry camps are set in stunning red rock locations in Canyonlands National Park and on the banks of the Colorado River.
Inn Highlights: Sitting along a bend in the Colorado River known as "White Rapids," Red Cliffs Lodge is a great base for recreational activity. Once a ranch, the lodge has served as a movie set for many classic films as well as several John Wayne films. Southwestern luxury in the heart of Moab defines the Gonzo Inn with its spacious rooms and welcoming pool and spa.
