Portugal Multisport Tour
Hike, Bike, Rock Climb and Canyoning from Oporto to Sintra
Freita's Hills and Cape Roca feature two of Portugal's most exquisite mountain ranges with huge waterfalls, historic walking trails, Europe's westernmost cape, small-town hospitality, and the birthplace of port wine. On this 9-day adventure, we spend our days hiking, canyoning, rock climbing, and mountain biking through some of Portugal's most beautiful landscapes.
Days 1-5: Oporto-Freita’s Hills-Mizarela’s Breach
From the moment we arrive, we will be surrounded by the beauty and history of Portugal. Beginning in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Oporto, the birthplace of port wine, we will make our way into the stunning hillsides for hiking, canyoning, and rock climbing.
Days 5-7: Mizarela’s Breach-Estoril-Sintra-Cape Roca
After a half day of rock climbing alongside a 210-ft waterfall, we will make our way to Sintra via Estoril with time to explore the elegant seaside town. Our accommodations will be in Sintra walking distance from the beach and many other attractions. We will explore Roman ruins and castles, swim at the beach, and hike within Sintra-Cascais National Park on the westernmost point of mainland Portugal.
Days 8-9: Arrabida Park, Lisbon
Mountain biking in Arrabida Park not only features spectacular views of the ocean and hills, but also a massive area to open to exploration on mountain bike. We will be biking in the hills overlooking the sea, a landscape so picturesque it was used for solitary meditation by Franciscan monks.
