Ireland Multisport Tour

Hike, Bike, Ride Horseback and Sea Kayak on the West Coast of the Emerald Isle

Ireland's "40 shades of green" are calling. Come join us for this active adventure to hike seaside cliffs and lake-studded peat lands, bike charming rural backroads, sea kayak in a fjord, and horseback ride through forest and field. Add in strolls through the quaint streets, visits to historic mansions and opportunities to share a pint at the village pub with new Gaelic friends and you've got all the makings for a tour of discovery extraordinaire.

Days 1-3 Muckross House--Killarney National Park. Begin with a visit to Muckross House, perhaps the most stately Victorian home in all of Ireland. Then explore Ireland's largest national park for three days. Hike through an enchanted forest of yew trees to cascading Torc Waterfall and to the mountain pass of Moll's Gap, bike to Ross Castle and through the dramatic Gap of Dunloe, and horseback ride along the shores of Lough Leane.

Days 4-5 Kerry Way-Skellig Michael.
The Mass Path takes us along the sandy beaches of Derrynane Harbour and joins the Kerry Way to walk over Coomakesta Pass with arguably the most beautiful vistas in all of Ireland. The next day depart by boat for a fascinating trip to The Skelligs. Rivaling the Galapagos as a sanctuary for sea birds and 6th century home to Christian monks, Skellig Michael is a World Heritage Site.

Days 6-7 Dingle Peninsula-Great Blasket Island. Bike Slea Head Loop, discovering its archaeological ruins and many of the peninsula's 500,000 sheep. Ride along cliffs that fall away to the sea and rest at sandy beaches within turquoise-watered coves. A wonderful day of walking is in store on uninhabited Great Blasket Island, former home to Irish poets and writers.

Day 8. Shannon. After an early breakfast and goodbyes to our innkeepers, we transfer to Shannon Airport for flights home.
