Baja Multisport Tour
Hike, Kayak, Snorkel, Surf and Whale Watch in Sunny Baja!
Experience the sun-drenched beauty of Baja Mexico. Snorkel and kayak its turquoise waters, hike to waterfalls in the desert, tour a colonial village, cruise for whales and learn to surf! Top it off with evenings at beautiful boutique hotels and in a peaceful fixed tent camp on the bay.
Days 1-2: Todos Santos
On arrival at Los Cabos International Airport transfer to a grand old hacienda in the heart of the historic district of Todos Santos, a fishing village turned artist colony. Explore on foot this oasis town and its spectacular, secluded coast and pristine beaches. Our sea cliff hike provides sweeping views of Baja's stark and rugged coastline.
Day 3: Sierra de la Laguna Biosphere-Los Cerritos
Today's hike leads up an arroyo through a thickening cactus forest to three waterfalls. Swim, take pictures and enjoy a wonderful picnic lunch. Then its off to try your hand at surfing in the gentle Pacific rollers along the beautiful crescent-shaped beach of Los Cerritos.
Day 4: Espiritu Santo Island
A high-speed motorboat takes us to the island for a morning of paddling in the turqoise waters beneath spectacular volcanic cliffs. Swim in the afternoon with sea lion pups and snorkel amongst thousands of tropical fish. Return to La Paz for a night out on the town for dinner.
Days 5-6: Magdalena Bay-La Paz
Drive across the Baja Peninsula to the Pacific Coast and board pangas for our trip to the whale watching camp on Magdalena Bay. The mangroves and dunes of the bay host an amazing array of flora and fauna. We visit the breeding grounds of the Pacific Gray Whales during their annual migration and have arms-length encounters with these giant cetaceans.
Day 7: Flights Home
After breakfast we transfer to La Paz Airport for return flights home.
The above describes the Whale Watching version of this itinerary. See the drop down menu above for the Multisport version of this tour for the months in which the whales are not present. The itineraries for both itineraries are available from the Detailed Itineraries link.
